Italian Hybrid (Italian/Carniolan) mated queens.
Our queens are caged at 21 days old at the earliest to guarantee proper pheromone development and mating.
Pickup days are Saturday beginning 9am. If you need to pick the queens up on a different day please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate.
Shipping days are Monday only.
We only ship UPS Next Day Air. Shipping is usually between $50-$100. 8 queen minimum for shipping. Queens come in plastic JZBZ cages.
While we strive to ship all queens as soon as possible we are sometimes at the mercy of the weather. Please be understanding that your order can be delayed if the weather is too poor to cage the queens. A signature will be required upon delivery so please be home and keep an eye on your tracking number.
Although we work very hard to make sure you receive only the highest quality queens, losing queens through the shipping process can happen. To mitigate any losses during shipping, we give 1 free queen for every 20 queens shipped. If ordering less than 20 queens, no additional queens will be added. We are not responsible for queens lost during the shipping process.

$30 Less than 50 queens
$29 50+ queens
$28 100+ queens
+$3 per queen if you want them marked
$5 Reusable battery box holds 20 queens for safe and easy transport back to your hive. We recommend bringing a ventilated box for transporting the queens home with you.
Cancelled orders will be charged 10% unless we are unable to meet our agreed upon caging date. In that case no cancellation fee will be charged.
Queen FAQ and Terms and Conditions
We DO NOT put attendants in the cages. You MUST give your queens food and water. Each cage should be thoroughly covered with nurse bees every day or they will die, unless installing them the same day you pick them up. We do not guarantee that a queen(s) will be successfully introduced to or will be accepted by your hive. Once the queens leave our care they are your responsibility. We recommend having your queenless splits made the day before you receive your queens and then installing them immediately.

Placing the order was a breeze. We received the queens (delivered by UPS) in time. I have lots of nice things to say about walk in the woods apiary, although can’t say even single nice thing to say about UPS delivery. I will surely buy from them again, once I forget about the UPS and how they almost killed my 100 precious queens.
