Italian Hybrid (Italian/Carniolan) mated Queens. 2024 Queens are grafted off a mix of our own stock and Jackie Parks California Italian Queens.

Our Queens are caged on 21+ day cycles after cell hatch out or until sufficient capped worker brood is visible to guarantee proper mating and a good brood pattern.

Most large breeders cage on a 14-day cycle and bank their Queens for long periods of time which produces lower quality Queens resulting in early supersedure or outright Queen failure.

We bank our Queens only from the time we cage them for you, and you pick them up or we ship them out, typically no more than 1-3 days.

Large orders may be available for delivery $2 per mile depending on distance and our availability. Please call ahead for delivery availability.

Cancelled reservations will be charged $25 unless cancelled 1 week prior to pickup or ship out dates.

Queen FAQ and Terms and Conditions

We sell reusable plastic battery boxes that hold 20 Queens for $5 if you need a container. We DO NOT put attendants in the cages so you will need a container for us to shake nurse bees in unless placing the Queens in your hive immediately.

SHIPPING is available. We ask for at least a week’s notice to prepare your order. While we strive to ship all Queens as soon as possible we are sometimes at the mercy of the weather. Please be understanding that your order can be delayed if the weather is too poor to cage the Queens. Shipped Queens DO NOT come with attendants. We shake plenty of nurse bees in each shipping box so the Queens are cared for during shipment. There is no Queen minimum to ship.

We only begin to prepare your order after payment is made IN FULL. Please contact us before paying to make sure we have Queens available and so we can give you an up-to-date quote.

Although we work very hard to make sure you receive only the highest quality Queens, losing Queens through the shipping process can happen. To mitigate any losses, we give 5% extra Queens to every shipped order. If the shipment has greater than a 5% loss, we ask that you take clear pictures of the package and dead Queens within an hour of signing for the package. We will refund the value of the Queens lost after 5% but cannot refund the shipping cost unless the package is lost in the mail or 100% of the Queens arrived dead on arrival. We do not replace Queens that die during the shipment process only refund them.
